Four months old Toby (day1) / Ocean City, MD / Snowshoe Mt, West Virginia

Hello my fellow pet lovers!
Here’s a story about how i got into painting pets.
I have been a lover of art and drawing since at a very young age. I started working with pencil sketching, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, and markers then graduated to acrylic. After my husband and I got our beloved dog, Toby, he inspired me to sketch and paint again. Toby, pictured on the this page, is a Pomeranian. He was incredibly intelligent, loving, and loyal. We consider it a blessing that Toby came into our pack and gave us so much joy. We’re so heartbroken though that he crossed over the rainbow bridge in March of 2022 at the age of 15. We miss our baby every day and we won’t ever forget him. We will cherish every moment we spent together for the rest of our lives.(including the walks during the snow storm and barking at other dogs and people for no reason😊)
I hope my love of capturing dogs’ and cats’ distinctive characteristics and their personalities will bring joy to fellow pet lovers.
Some of my favorite artists are Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, Cezanne, and Degas. Their works have always inspired me to be a better artist.
